It is important to keep calm in an emergency.(遇到緊急情況,保持鎮靜很重要。)

She faced the possibility of death with complete calm.(她面對死亡,處之泰然。)

三、Her previous calm gave way to terror.(她先前的鎮定轉為恐懼。)

Despite the panic around him, he retained his composure.(雖然周圍的人驚惶失措,他仍保持鎮定。)

五、She was struggling to regain her composure.(她努力令自己的情緒重新平靜下來。)

六、The other side is trying to make you lose your composure and you will play right into their hands if you do.(對方正要令你失去鎮靜,如果你讓他們得逞,便中計了。)

She accepted the prospect of her operation with equanimity.(她平靜地接受了要動手術的可能。)

八、It is difficult to behave with equanimity under such provocation.(這樣的挑釁,很難冷靜以對。)

Sangfroid(注意這字的法文讀音),指在困難的處境下維持鎮定沉靜的表現。

九、He displayed remarkable sangfroid when everyone else was panicking.(當所有其他人都驚惶失措時,他顯得十分鎮定。)

He prepared his speech in advance and delivered it with aplomb.(他預先準備了演詞,鎮定地發表演說。)

He managed to keep his cool-headedness in the face of danger.(在危險面前,他保持了冷靜沉靜。)

十二、To handle this difficulty, all sides should express patience, cool-headedness and restraint.(應付這困難,各方都要拿出耐心、冷靜和克制。)

十三、He handled the situation with prudence and levelheadedness.(他用審慎的態度和冷靜的頭腦去處理那局面。)

His air of nonchalance made her angry.(他一副若無其事的樣子令她憤怒。)

十五、He feigned nonchalance, but it was obvious he was very proud of what he had discovered.(他裝作不在乎,其實他顯然為自己的發現感到十分驕傲。)
