Basic information
Founded in 1992 by 56 patriotic Hong Kong citizens, the Democratic Alliance for the Betterment and Progress of Hong Kong (DAB) was born in the era of the handover transition and now welcomes a new era of development for the Special Administrative Region. The DAB will, as always, bravely accept challenges, shoulder the responsibilities of the times, promote innovation and change, and make its due contributions to the well-being of citizens, the prosperity and stability of Hong Kong, the successful implementation of "one country, two systems," and the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

Democratic Alliance for the Betterment and Progress of Hong Kong (formerly known as Democratic Alliance for Betterment of Hong Kong. The EGM on April 12, 2005 passed the DAB and HKPA Merger that the name of the Alliance be changed to Democratic Alliance for the Betterment and Progress of Hong Kong, acronym DAB).

The large outline symbolizes China and expresses the meaning of democratic return.
The small outline symbolizes Hong Kong and expresses the idea of building Hong Kong through democracy. The large and small outlines connected in a line represent the close relationship between Hong Kong and the mainland, signifying their integration, interconnectedness, and interdependence.
