DAB Hosts Two Sessions sharing session

The DAB today held a sharing session on the National People's Congress and Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, featuring NPC Standing Committee member Starry Lee, Hong Kong NPC deputy convenor Chan Yung, NPC deputies Kennedy Wong, Rock Chen Chun-nin, Lee Shing‑put, Roy Chu Lap‑wai and Wong Bing‑fan, and CPPCC member Lui Kin.

DAB Chairperson Chan Hak‑kan said he was grateful to the DAB's NPC deputies and CPPCC members for sharing their insights shortly after their return. He noted that in  country's Report on the Work of the Government and the 15th Five‑Year Plan now call on the SAR to "integrate into and serve the national development agenda" — a dual mission for Hong Kong to align with national strategy and contribute proactively to the country's progress while promoting Hong Kong's own stability and prosperity.

Chan thanked the NPC deputies and CPPCC members for their sharing on "executive-led governance," and urged members to study and apply the concept in their legislative and public duties.

The Chief Executive today announced the timeline for Hong Kong's first five-year plan and a new collaborative mechanism with LegCo to gather public views. Chan said the Alliance, as a political group in the SAR, must resolutely supports the Chief Executive and the SAR Government in advancing the plan, contributing to national development and Hong Kong's long-term stability.

Over 100 members including Executive Committee and Senate members, LegCo Members, District Councillors, community officers and staff. attended the session at DAB headquarter, with branch members in the New Territories joining online.
