Hong Kong is an inalienable part of China, and Hong Kong affairs are purely China’s internal affairs. No foreign government or politician has any right to interfere. The High Court yesterday delivered its verdict in the Jimmy Lai case based on facts and the law, despite external pressure — reaffirming Hong Kong's judicial fairness and rule of law. In response to attempts by the US and other Western countries to slander Hong Kong's legal system and interfere in China's internal affairs, DAB Vice-chairpersons Chan Yung, and LegCo Members visited the US Consulate today to express strong condemnation.
