The Telecommunications (Registration of SIM Cards) Regulation took effect on September 1 last year to implement the Real-name Registration Programme for Subscriber Identification Module (SIM) Cards. Today (January 25) DAB LegCo member Nixie Lam, Political Assistant to Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development Bureau Bruce Lee Sai Wah and Community Officer Jones Chan set up a street corner in Shek Wai Kok, Tsuen Wan to explain to residents the Real-name Registration Programme and to help them with registration.
